Club triathletes from around Great Britain are preparing to travel to Nottingham this weekend to take part in the British Club Relay Championships on 25 and 26 August 2012.

The event is the last of eight British Age-Group Championships in 2012 and will provide the perfect finale in the natural triathlon amphitheatre of the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham.

The event involves teams of four using a tagging format where everyone completes a 500m swim, 15km bike and 5km run. With British titles at stake, there will be some serious racing on the closed course that enables your teammates to cheer every athlete over all three disciplines.

David Bishop, who was part of the Loughborough Triathlon team that won the men’s relay category last year is looking forward to the weekend’s event: “I’m really excited about the Relays. I’ll be racing with Tom, and it’s one of my favourite races of the year!”

Sam Parker, 18, from Keyworth, who will be racing for Huub TFN added: “It looks like there will be a good fight between the top teams and I’m looking forward to being part of one of the Huub TFN men’s relays. It’s always a great event for everyone, whether they’re aiming to win or just have fun.”

The event offers British titles in the following categories:
