The president of the European Triathlon Union, Mr Renato Bertrandi, officially announced at a press conference at Challenge Roth that the next European Championship 2013 ETU Long Distance Triathlon will take place at Challenge Vichy on 18 August 2013.
"We’re extremely proud to host the European Championships at the third edition of Challenge Vichy. This proves from the beginning that we set the bar very high in terms of quality organization with the city of Vichy, all other communities and our valued volunteers. In August, we will show European triathletes that we are part of the biggest races in global organizational and the European Championships will be an event not to miss in 2013," says Gael Mainard race director of Challenge Vichy.
"And you can still enter Challenge Vichy or Vichy Half Triathlon in August 2012 as a test run for the European Championships next year".
At the same time, the ETU European Championships Half Distance were awarded to Challenge Barcelona.
