The host event for 2016’s European Long Distance Triathlon Championships has been named as Challenge Poznan, the biggest triathlon in Poland.
The event will take place on 23 July 2016 and promises a fast flat course with legendary spectator support ‘rivalled only by Challenge Roth’, say the organisers. It will run over the same course as next year’s middle distance race, being held on 26 July 2015.
Poznan’s mayor said the city has been “considered the Polish capital of sport for years. Over 30 years ago Polish triathlon was born right here and I am happy that we continue to contribute to its development.”
