Are you a Scottish age-grouper dreaming big? Sports nutrition expert and 220 Triathlon contributor Joel Enoch is looking for promising triathletes in the Edinburgh region that want to take their performances to the next level.

Created with the help of the Edinburgh Club Forum and designed to offer an elite squad style set-up, Joel’s new Performance Triathlon Squad is open to anyone aged 16 or over. He tells us the aim is to develop the skills young athletes need to compete at elite level, give top age-groupers access to elite squad-style training, and support student triathlon in the Edinburgh region.

“Triathlon is one of the most demanding sports in the world,” says Joel. “Elite athletes develop in professional training groups with the support they need to achieve and I want to make this environment available to talented young athletes and top age-groupers who often receive little support while blending near elite levels of training/competition with work and family life.

“The squad is not set up to be a rival; rather it is designed to support and link athletes and clubs, giving ambitious triathletes the chance to drive each other on towards their best.”

Joel will be hosting two training/info days on 19 July and 9 August at Ainslie Park Leisure Centre in Edinburgh – for full details, contact info and how to reserve a place go to www.joelenoch.com.
