Last week British Triathlon confirmed its largest ever Paratriathlon team, and has now confirmed a team of twelve athletes to take part in the elite events ETU Triathlon European Championships in Alanya, Turkey 14-16 June.
London 2012 Olympian, Vicky Holland, features in the senior women’s team alongside Non Stanford, who has demonstrated excellent form so far this year. Lois Rosindale and Vanessa Raw make up the rest of the women’s team and are joined by Adam Bowden and Mark Buckingham on the men’s side.
Bowden has already achieved two top ten finishes in the ITU World Triathlon Series so far this year.
Defending European junior champion, Georgia Taylor-Brown, 19, features in a strong team of junior athletes that also includes the Australian Youth Olympic medallist, Marc Austin from Scotland.
The course features a sea swim, flat bike ride and four-lap run course that has a short hill on each lap. The biggest challenge will be the heat, which could reach up to 30 degrees.
