British Triathlon has teamed up with the UK’s leading online bike retailer Wiggle and Focus Bikes in a four-year sponsorship deal. The deal will see Wiggle become the Official Retail Supplier and Focus the Official Bike Supplier to the current Sport Governing Body of the Year.

This exciting partnership will see the creation of a British Triathlon online shop, exclusive to Home Nation members of Triathlon England, triathlonscotland and Welsh Triathlon, who will all receive a 12 per cent discount on a wide range of triathlon products.

The British Triathlon shop - powered by Wiggle - will be supported by other British Triathlon partners such as adidas, Maxifuel and 2XU. Members will also be able to receive discounts on Focus Bikes.

The website will offer all GE Great Britain Age Group Team qualifiers a one-stop shop for all their team kit, as well as having access to an increased range of triathlon clothing.

The deal will also see a number of British Triathlon’s GE Great Britain team riding Focus bikes, including Matt Sharp, member of the UK Sport Lottery funded British Triathlon World Class Performance Programme. Matt said: “The support of Wiggle and Focus is a fantastic addition to the British Triathlon team. The key to an athlete’s success is a combination of many individual elements, which combine to make the difference in your performance. The right equipment is a vital cog in the performance wheel and with the support of Wiggle and Focus our performances will only benefit.”

Zara Hyde Peters, Chief Executive of British Triathlon, is excited about what the sponsorship will mean for Home Nation members, adding: “The new one-stop shop for Home Nation members offers an exclusive opportunity to receive the latest triathlon products from market leading suppliers and sponsors of triathlon. Our partnership with Wiggle will ensure Home Nation members will receive even more value from their membership and once again shows the attraction of our modern and dynamic sport to commercial partners.”

Humphrey Cobbold, CEO of Wiggle, said: “Wiggle is proud and excited to part of a fast growing, inclusive sport such as triathlon. We plan to deliver market leading products for Home Nation members and ensure that we can support both age group and elite athletes with leading kit and equipment that makes a real difference to an athlete’s performance.”
