Race organisers Events Logic UK have unveiled a new duathlon event based at the historic Bowood Estate near Calne in Wiltshire.

Set for 7 October, the event gives racers the rare opportunity to enjoy this idyllic location while competing in a unique multisports event. With both sprint (5/21/5km) and super sprint (2.5/12/2.5km) distances catered for, the duathlon is suitable for all abilities and younger athletes too.

The Bowood Duathlon will mark the first time that this fantastic location has opened their gates to such an event and places are limited, so you’ll have to act fast to secure a spot.

The run will commence with a mass start from the rear of Bowood House and take competitors on a tour of the estate’s most beautiful scenery including Bowood Lake, The Cascade Waterfalls and The Doric Temple.

Transition will be situated under the shadows of Bowood House on the manicured lawns facing the lake, while the traffic-free cycle route loops around the estate’s grounds past Bowood Golf Course, The Osprey Yard, and Lord Lansdowne’s private driveway, where riders might catch a glimpse of the local wild deer and game fowl.

After the second run, competitors will cross the finish line at the side of the house and gardens, which they can enjoy while recovering from their efforts.
