The weekend of 8-9 June 2013 will host one of the most scenic UK triathlon festivals, the Beaverfest.

The event, which will include The Beaver (Middle Distance), Little Beaver (Olympic Distance) and Speedy Beaver (Sprint), is held in and around the beautiful surroundings of Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire.

The event is close by to major roads such as the A1 and M1 and also easily accessible from Nottingham, Leicester, Peterborough and Rutland.

Athletes will be tested with an open-water swim followed by bike and run courses around the countryside of Leicestershire. Both the bike and run courses are undulating throughout with inclines and rewarding declines, including the introduction in 2013 of USN Hill.

All triathletes and their supporters will have the opportunity to camp throughout the weekend. Live music, bouncy castles, activities and an array of retailers onsite are all planned, which will mean there’ll be plenty onsite to keep people of all ages interested throughout the weekend.

The festival will see triathletes of all ages and abilities taking part throughout the weekend with some top triathletes battling it out in the British Middle Distance Championships on the 8 June.

The Sunday will also bring an array of talent with both Little Beaver and Speedy Beaver being part of this year’s East Midlands Adult Series. The Speedy Beaver will also be incorporating the East Midlands Club Championships 2013.
