Russian athlete Pavel Andreev won his fourth consecutive winter triathlon title at the Cogne ITU Winter Triathlon Championships last weekend, edging out Italy's Daniel Antonioli in a hard-fought battle down the finish chute.
Antonioli pulled ahead of Andreev in the first discipline – a 6km run – but was overtaken by the Russian on the 12km bike that followed, who then completed a fast T2 to hold off Antonioli in the final 9km cross-country ski, crossing the line in 1:03:39.
