St John Ambulance launch mobile phone app called 'First Aid for Cyclists', which provides emergency advice and techniques for everyone on two wheels.

Situations covered include what to do to make a scene safe on the road, tips on how to improvise with bike clothing and equipment and options for dealing with common cycling injuries.

Advice in the app comes from the charity’s medically trained staff and Cycle Response Unit, aiming to offer a quick and easy way to access medical information for any rider who requires first aid.

We think it's a reliable source of information to reach for if you find yourself in an emergency situation or even a useful way to read and learn if once in a while you step away from your bike!

The free ‘First Aid for Cyclists’ app is available to download now on Google Play and the Apple app store.
