Zone3 Swim Skin

Two years in the making, this stylish creation features woven fabric to get around Ironman's no-neoprene rule to deliver extra core support and cut drag when going long

Back in July 2009 it was head-scratching aplenty round these parts when we ran a news story on the legality of swim skins in swimming. Ironman would ban skins containing neoprene in 2010, yet Zone3 have got around this ruling with the woven fabric composition of their debut Swim Skin.

The suit was developed due to requests from Ironman athletes looking for extra core support and reduced drag during non-wetsuit swims, and is to be positioned on top of your tri-suit before removal in T1.

Two years in the making, it’s certainly a stylish creation, with grippers on the legs and a back zipper for easy removal. Price: £175 from www.racezone3.com.
