Review: Swimovate PoolMateLive swimming watch

Have you ever lost count of lengths during a swim session? Are you struggling to understand your pacing? Are the pool clocks not working in your local swimming pool? Enter the PoolMateLive, a potential answer to all these swim woes and more.

This new version of the popular swim aid includes all the original features, such as counting laps and strokes, a calculation of speed, distance and, therefore, stroke efficiency, as well as calories.

In addition to this the watch now boasts a vibrating alarm that can be set to help work on pacing, larger characters for the visual display and the ability to download information to both a PC and Mac (the download clip is an extra £30).

The watch itself is sleekly designed, light, easy to read and unobtrusive when swimming. Navigation is simple, and therefore ideal on the fly, and the info easy to read and absorb.
