Review: Zoggs Fusion Air Gold Mirror swim goggles

The latest offering from Zoggs, the Fusion Air Gold Mirror goggles, claim to be “arguably the most comfortable low profile performance swimming goggle available today”.

However, what they offer in comfort they lack in certain aspects of performance. The adjustability options are limited, with the interchangeable nose-pieces offering few size choices and the double strap loosening with wear.

The anti-fog properties seemed absent on initial wear, yet the fog cleared to result in perfect visibility. The mirrored lenses promise UV protection for outdoor pool and calm open-water swimming, and add to the aesthetic appeal alongside the five different colourways.

Retailing at £18, Zoggs have manufactured a model that may not rival others on the market in performance but, as every triathlete needs a back-up in their kit bag, these are an affordable option.
