Review: TYR Special Ops 2.0 Polarized swim goggles

American brand TYR has entered the world of British patriotism with their latest Special Ops 2.0 goggles.

The polarized lenses efficiently filter out the surface glare either in the open water or, if you’re lucky enough, any sunshine bouncing off an indoor pool surface, so you can put your efforts into your swimming rather than squinting.

Other key features include an increased range of vision, soft silicone gaskets that fit comfortably around the eyes, a broad and flexible nose strap, and a split headstrap that provided a comfortable fit.

The result is a high-quality goggle at a reasonable price. The key buying point though is whether you stick with that Union Jack design or design your own on their website, which is an enjoyable way to ensure your kit is coordinated come race day.
