Emblazoned with ‘Kona’, ‘Queen K’ and other iconic Ironman Hawaii namechecks, the Ali’I 14 race day shoe from Zoot arrive nicely in time for the build-up to this year’s edition of the Ironman World Championships, held on 11 October in Kona.

The tri-specific features from the Hawaii-haling/San Diego-based don’t end there, with tongue and heel loops and Zoot’s own Boa Closure System ideally making them quick to put on for a fast transition.

Aimed at neutral runners, with slightly more cushioning than the previous model, they weigh in at 227g with a 8mm heel/ toe offset. A seamless sock like upper and internal fit is designed for sockless-running and to eliminate blister contact points.
