Designed in collaboration with two-time Ironman World Champion Tim DeBoom, Pearl Izumi’s Tri N 2 has been built with the the harsh long-course demands of Kona in mind.

With a heel stack height of 23mm, the Tri N 2 offers neutral support, with the model seen here featuring a seamless upper aimed at minimising chafing and promoting sockless comfort.

Elsewhere, a ‘3D spacer mesh’ purports to provide maximum breathability and drainage on the run. The model seen here is the women’s Blue/Berry. We’ll be testing Pearl Izumi in next issue’s race-day run shoes grouptest, on sale 27 May.
