Lazer Tardis bike helmet review

Although it has a slightly truncated tail, you’ll still need a fairly flat back and solid ride position to get the maximum aero gains from this helmet.

Weighing in at 415g for a medium, it’s one of the lightest full aero helmets we’ve tested recently (although it doesn’t come with a visor). And, at under £150, it won’t break the bank either.

On the bike it’s super-comfortable, with a very supportive cradle and gel pads at the front which do a great job of stopping sweat running onto your glasses.

It also performs superbly in the heat with six cooling vents. Plus, if you’re going long and it’s an absolute scorcher, there’s a port for dumping water on your head, with internal channels sending it through the helmet so it doesn’t come pouring down your face.

In transition it’s a winner, with flexible ear pads, Lazer’s Rollsys dial adjustment for the cradle on top of the helmet and an extremely clever Magic Buckle closure system.
