Bontrager Velocis bike helmet review

The Velocis is Bontrager’s top-of-the-line road lid and comes in five different colour schemes, including the high-vis version here.

It’s packed with features, such as the Headmaster II retention system which delivers well on its boast of easy, one-handed adjustment on the go. Airflow is good, chanelling efficiently through the helmet to keep you cool.

Internally, the AgION pads are comfortable and the fit is spot-on – although helmet fit is a personal thing, so what works for us may not work for you.

The straps are comfortable and easily adjustable (the chin buckle is the standard sort you’ll find on countless other helmets). One nice touch is the velcro-attachable visor, a useful addition in the rain or when it’s particularly sunny.

Bontrager also has a crash replacement policy, so if you write your helmet off within a year of buying, you’ll receive a new one for free.
