Review: 3T Vola Pro Aerobar

Riding the 3T Vola Pro is an almost entirely problem-free experience, and the range of adjustability ensures you can configure a comfortable personalised cockpit. The only niggles are the armrests, which could use a slightly higher inside lip, and the bullhorns, which would benefit from a longer flat section to accommodate bigger paws.

But aside from those, there’s nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for setting up the 846g Vola Pro. Using T25 Torx bolts throughout, you’ll only need one Torx key for the job, but if you don’t already have one it’s one you’ll have to buy.

If so, we recommend getting an L-shaped one so you can get at the extension clamp bolts, which are sited behind a small ‘letterbox’ slot on the inside of the mounts. Without that, these clamp bolts’ position makes fine-tuning reach adjustment a frustrating and fiddly affair.
