For the first time in two years, Canyon has updated its Speedmax range of triathlon bikes, with nine new versions set to go on sale.

The brand's CFR, CF SLX and CF models are all seeing updates, including the addition of a power meter and disc brakes. You can see the full details outlined below.

What's new?

The range-topping Speedmax CFR will now be available with SRAM's Red Tap AXS 1x12 groupset, complete with a Quarq power meter and Zipp 858 NSW disc brake hookless wheels (£11,849).

Alternatively, the lightest Speedmax CFR you can get your hands on is the option that comes equipped with Shimano's Dura-Ace 2x12-speed Di2 and a Rotor Aldhu 24 crankset with an in-spider power meter. It'll also come with DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut disc brake wheels (£10,899).

One level down from the best-of-the-best will see you sacrifice approximately 300g in weight for more affordability. The Speedmax CF SLX 8 frameset uses a different carbon frame layup and is available with two different groupsets.

The first is SRAM's Force Tap AXS, complete with a Quarq power meter and Zipp 404 /808 Firecrest wheels (£8,699). The second option is Shimano's Ultegra Di2 with a 4iii power meter and DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut wheels (£8,399).

Still using the same frameset, the more wallet-friendly Speedmax CF SLX 7 (£6,749) ships with SRAM's Rival Tap AXS and a Quarq power meter. The package is completed with DT Swiss ARC 1600 Spline disc brake wheels.

There are three options at CF level: the Speedmax CF 8 Di2 (2x12) with a 4iii power meter and DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut wheels; the Speedmax CF 7 eTap (2x12) with a Quarq spider power meter and Reynolds AR wheels; and the Speedmax CF 7, which comes with Shimano 105 2x11 mechanical shifters and derailleurs, a 4iii power meter and DT Swiss P1800 wheels.

Selected models throughout the range also include 650b wheels, which are better suited to smaller frame sizes.

The Speedmax 2023 range starts at £3,699 and rises all the way up to £11,849. It's available from 13 October 2022 and you can find out more by visiting the Canyon website.
