Vittoria V-Flash Fluro bike shoes review

Despite being flashy by both name and in appearance, Vittoria’s V-Flash Fluros are a comparatively no-nonsense set of bike shoes.

The Italians have paired a synthetic leather upper with a Nylon sole which, while certainly not the lightest we’ve used, is acceptably stiff and perfectly comfortable under foot.

There are only two small vents on the sole, though – one at the front and one at the back – and while that was great for keeping us warm and dry riding in winter, we worry that it won’t offer a huge amount of cooling in summer.

Similarly, there are only eight small vents on the upper, along with a selection of small holes on the toe box, making these one of the warmest sets of shoes that we’ve ever tested.

The three Velcro strap retention system is perfectly capable, and the well padded interior is comfortable enough for long rides.

Overall, though, they’re unspectacular shoes, and you will find better at this price point if you shop around.

Verdict: Decent set of shoes, but you can do better for the price, 64%
