Weighing in at 271g for a UK 10, the Heliums are very light shoes.

However, although weight's a factor when choosing which shoes to buy, the Heliums will leave your bank account decidedly light. They're also very, very yellow and only for the extremely self-assured.

They do ride well, though. You barely know you're wearing them and the carbon sole is second to none. The micro adjustment of the lower strap allows for accurate fit and fine-tuning, and the large main strap is great for transition.

The heel loop is easy to grab but we do have some concerns about its longer-term durability, and the mesh of the upper ventilates well but we'd like to see some dedicated drainage holes in the sole.

The heel bumper does a resonable job but we do reckon that the carbon trim on the heel would take a bit of a battering.
