Madison Flux Liner bike shorts - review

Baggy shorts provide plenty of room but little in the way of padding or support, so if you do decide to go baggy a padded liner, such as the Flux from Madison, will make your ride a lot more comfortable.

There’s no bib braces so wearing the Flux shorts is a lot like wearing the bottoms of a two-piece tri-suit but with a proper, full-size, gel-padded chamois.

They stay in place perfectly – an effective waistband stops them sliding down your backside and gummy leg grips prevent them creeping up your thighs.

The front is made from a fine mesh, which is great for keeping everything well ventilated but leaves even less to the imagination than a typical pair of Lycra shorts.

So as good as the Flux shorts are it’s unlikely you’ll want to wear them on their own!
