Are you an enthusiastic amateur who would love to repair your treasured steed like a pro? Dream of swiftly fixing a puncture, broken chain, or whichever bike bit chooses to make a break for freedom mid-race? Then this is the competition for you.
The Cycle Systems Academy has teamed up with your favourite triathlon mag to offer one fortuitous reader a City and Guilds VSQ in Cycle Maintenance and Repair. The course, which can be taken over an intensive 10 days or over five weekends, will give the winner an internationally recognised certificate in the highest qualification available in bike mechanics.
Cycling is cooler than ever before in the UK, and right at the hub of this trend is London. The Cycle Systems Academy is based at a 2,000 square foot state-of-the-art training facility next to Regents Canal in Central London.
The course is suitable for everyone, whether you struggle to change an inner tube or you’re already working within the cycling trade. Practical lessons from highly experienced tutors mean students will leave will a full, professional working knowledge of everything bike-related.
During the course you’ll strip down and rebuild a bike from scratch. In fact, you can even buy a frame and components and build your dream bike at the Academy as part of the accreditation process.
