Win 10 places at the Bristol 10k

After the months of logging the training miles, getting some race experience under your belt is essential to get your tri season off to a flyer.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with runbristol to offer 10 lucky readers the chance to win a race place at the Bristol 10k, set in the heart of the rather brilliant city (and home of 220).

The Bristol 10k will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Sunday 20 May 2012 and has a short but very successful history having grown from 5,000 entries in 2008 to over 11,000 in 2011.

The race is popular with British internationals attracted by the generous prize list and elite runner support package. In 2004 Phil Wicks (28.59) and Hattie Dean (33.40) both took overall gold and a top field of British elites including Claire Hallissesy, Gemma Steel, Andy Vernon and Ben Tickner have also had great success on this fast course. The Course records are held by two African runners: Gordon Mugi (28:29 in 2010) and for the women, Edinah Kwambai (32.29 in 2011).

Triathletes who have recent 10k PB’s of Men sub 31.30mins, Women sub 35.30mins are also offered free places and accomodation.
