Top Barn Triathlon
Distance: 750m swim, 28km bike, 5km run

Worcester Tri Club and their partners USN, Top Barn Activity Centre, Xterra Wetsuits and Scimitar Clothing proudly present the 2012 Top Barn Triathlons – one of the region’s favourite grassroots races, with a swim in the freshwater lake, a very scenic and challenging bike course in rural Worcestershire and a tough run along the banks of the River Severn and through the picturesque village of Holt.

DB MAX
Distance: 400m swim, 22km bike, 5km run

Back for its third year and the fastest growing race in the DB Max calendar. Its Sprint distance race with the ‘King of the Sprints’ Challenge. The event venue is the Warminster Sports Centre and the bike and run take place on the surrounding roads and lanes

Tri-Challenge Adventure Race
Distance: 55km bike, 25km run
Date: 8th July

A true test of endurance where strategy is key. A fasted paced adventure race over five hours incorporating off-road running, mountain biking and navigation in the beautiful New Forest. Perfect for triathletes wanting a new multisport challenge, trail runners, mountain bikers and great for those who want a real off-road experience. (UKAR championship qualifying event)

Grafman Middle Distance Triathlon
Distance: 1900m swim, 90km bike, 20km run
Date: 12th August

Located in the heart of Cambridgeshire near the ancient Village of Buckden, Nicetri presents “Grafman” Middle Distance Triathlon. Grafham Water reservoir provides a perfect setting for the swim, then out along the slightly undulating, smooth but fast scenic 90km ride followed by a run around the picturesque countryside of Grafham.

Midnight Full & Half distance Triathlon
Distance: 1900m swim, 90km bike, 21km run
Date: 18/19th August
Entry Price: £90
The UK’s first ever over night long-course and half iron-distance triathlon. The race is held on closed roads and starts at 6pm Saturday. The cut-off for the full distance is 11am Sunday morning and 1am for the half iron-distance.

ECF Monster Middle, Ely
Distance: 1900m swim, 90km bike, 21km run

A spectacular middle-distance triathlon in the heart of East Anglia. With its `iconic’ point-to-point river swim, flat bike course and scenic out and back run route, you can almost guarantee that PB! This course is perfect for the seasoned triathlete and the newcomer. This race has been selected as a British Triathlon Federation Adult League Race.

The BRAT Birmingham Triathlon
Distance: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run

The September addition of the BRAT Birmingham Tri will be held again at one of the fastest venues for a PB standard/sprint distance time. The Brun Valley Tri, Burnley
Distance: 1km swim, 36km bike, 9km run
Date: 2nd September

The Brun Valley Triathlon is a tough but rewarding event. Starting with a picturesque lake swim, followed by a tough cycle route taking you towards Hebden Bridge before returning via the pretty (steep!) village of Heptonstall, along the Long Causeway and back to Burnley. Finishing with a run through the forest park, alongside rivers and streams, and a lap of the lake.

Velocity Events
Distance: 500m swim, 23km bike, 6km run

For those of you who enjoy racing triathlon with a backdrop of stunning scenery, Velocity Events give you that very opportunity in 2012. Bodiam Castle in East Sussex has a moat for the swim section (watch out for the carp!), a one-loop bike course in the surrounding countryside followed by an off-road run that brings you back alongside the River Rother. Bring your friends and family for that complete day out.

Tri for Life 2012, Woburn Abbey

This summer will see the first ever triathlon at Woburn Abbey. We’ll have short, medium and Olympic distance triathlons along with a standalone 10km run and a duathlon and scootathlon for the kids. Wasdale
Distance: 1.2m swim, 56m bike, 13.1m run

DEEPEST. STEEPES.T HIGHEST. HARDEST. Wasdale, the Lake District hosts arguably the toughest Half Iron event in the UK and probably the world. Swim Wastwater, Britain’s deepest lake. Bike 56 miles 7.127 ft over Hardknott and Wrynose passes in both directions. Run 13.1miles 4,583 ft up and down Scafell and Scafell pike.
