The Outdoor Swimming Society has presented its new interactive Wild Swim Map

The Outdoor Swimming Society has presented its new interactive Wild Swim Map. You can use it to explore the spots they’ve already found, or better still - share a local watering hole with them by adding it to the map.

With more than 10,000 members the OSS Map is pooling a huge fount of knowledge so everyone can enjoy the fantastic natural resource on our doorstep.

You can access it by going to their website www.outdoorswimmingsociety.com or via Facebook or you can go straight to it by following the link http://wildswim.com/.

It's been set up by their map editor, Jonathan Joyce, from http://stormid.com.

“In the first 3 days we added 50 new spots – that’s 10% of the total spots collected over the years. We’re seeing visitors from far and wide with a few spots beginning to appear in Europe and America, showing the potential to grow the map beyond the UK,” said Jonathan.

“I’m also very grateful to the dozens of people sending feedback and corrections for spots – this helps keep the map nice and clean for everyone to use.

“The photos being added are also bringing the spots to life – please keep them coming! I see the map evolving in response to the needs of the Outdoor Swimming Society so please don’t hesitate to let me know what you’d like to see.”
