The British Ironman pro fractured his C2 vertebrae at the top of his spine, after being hit by a car in training back in October 2017.  The accident would have seen many retire from sport but Tim vowed to return. He chose the Boston marathon for his comeback race, targeting a finishing time of 2:50.

And he delivered, finishing in a fantastic 2:49  under difficult weather conditions.

6months 5days later.......2:49:42 @bostonmarathon happy with that work to be done πŸ‘ŠπŸ #runonclouds #trainhardraceeasy @on_running
