In the forthcoming issue of 220 (September, 238) - on the newstands 25 August - we give you details of a new Iron-distance event that will be hitting the UK next year. We can now tell you that the Nottingham based event, to be held 8 August 2010, will be called...

The Outlaw Triathlon. With those who successfully complete the course becoming one of Robin Hood’s Outlaws.

The cost will be £179. Included within this fee, will be your race entry, exclusive Outlaw medal & race t-shirt, invitation to the pre race pasta party, drink voucher for the post event party and various items which will fill your athlete’s outlaw goodie bag. Relay Team entries will be accepted at a cost of £220.

Thirdly, following consultation with various different parties, organisers, One Step Beyond Promotions, have made the decision to loop the run back to Holme Pierrepont for the finish. This means that the Start, both Transitions and the Finish will all be safely contained within the grounds of the National Water Sport Centre, along with our exciting race expo!

Finally for now… the event will be running alongside Nottingham’s Riverside Festival. The festival offers lots of entertainment and activities, with a colourful and vibrant programme of live music, performance, arts and fairground attractions. The Riverside Festival is a unique Festival that covers a distance of one mile along the banks of the River Trent, at Victoria Embankment, adjacent to the historical Trent Bridge.
