If you're racing in one of the Human Race events at Dorney Lake this weekend, you may want to consider leaving your wetsuit at home.  After the recent hot spell, Human Race Director John Lunt has announced that the water temperature in the lake has reached a balmy 23°C and it's not expected to drop before Sunday.  Under BTF and ITU rules this would mean that wetsuits wouldn't be allowed. The water temperature will be confirmed on Saturday morning and if still over 22 degrees, the swim will be compulsory non-wetsuit.

This could well be good news for the 350 youngsters taking part in the UK's only Children's Open Water Triathlon on Saturday morning and the 
1,500 women in the Timex WomenOnly event later in the day.  For many it is their first ever experience of open water swimming so the warmer 
water will really boost confidence going into the event.

The Steelman Olympic Distance event is on Sunday and another 800 athletes are expected to descend on Dorney to swim, bike and run their 
way round the traffic free course.

The water temperature is unlikely to drop much before 11th/12th weekend either and entries are still open for the inaugural
