Macca to race Challenge Denmark
Multiple world champion to race Jutland event in June 2015
Australian triathlon legend Chris McCormack has announced that he'll be racing at Challenge Denmark on 13th June 2015 – in Herning and Billund on the country's Jutland peninsula.
Several big names have already announced their arrival for Challenge Denmark, and they will now be accompanied by one of the biggest names in triathlon. The 41-year-old, former Challenge Roth winner Chris McCormack – also known as Macca – has announced his arrival next summer. And the two times Hawaii winner is excited:
“I’m happy to be able to announce that I’ll be racing at Challenge Denmark. It’s going to be an amazing race with both full distance, half distance and relay, and I’m so excited to come to Denmark”, Chris McCormack explains from Thailand, where he is currently training.
Challenge Denmark will take place in and around Billund, and besides the possibility to try different distances, there will be plenty of opportunities for a family-trip (Legoland is located at Billund) – something that excites Macca.
“I will be bringing my children and it can’t get any better. Billund is considered the children’s capital of Denmark and I’m looking forward to bringing them.”
McCormack’s participation on the half distance will give all participants a unique possibility to race along one of the biggest triathletes in history. Meanwhile, Macca will be in Herning and Billund in the days leading up to the race, where he will be attending several events, giving people the chance to meet him.
