Rolling seas, beautiful Dorset countryside and two British winners – we round up the best images from yesterday’s race

Anticipation could scarcely have been higher for yesterday’s inaugural Challenge Weymouth, though on the day some choppy seas forced the organisers to halve the swim and delay the start.

No matter – the racing did get underway and it was two British athletes, Joe Skipper and Eleanor Haresign, who collected gold around eight hours later…

1.9km swim. I was in there and I'm not so sure!


Threw up during the Swim think I got a bit sea sick,loved the Bike course although I cramped up 400 mtrs before T2 struggled with cramp throughout the Run but loved every minute.The marshals were brilliant as were the spectators. My first middle distance roll on the next one.........Thank You Weymouth
