As long as like any triathlete they get there and compete through there hard effort like the rest of us no problem.

If they get a place just because there a celebrity then no way see conversation

Zero tolerance

I'm gutted

Had place in this event. Was to be my big race of the season.

Wish this vocal minority would put there effort in to getting Surrey County Council to repair all the pot holes. Makes cycling on the roads dangerous especially at night.
I live in Surrey and know what poor quality some of the roads are.

Also what about this minority embracing the fact that triathlon is such a positive healthy activity. see conversation

Hi Matthew

Just read your blog. well done.

From personal experience just keep it interesting. Varied training works great. Stops one getting stale and board. I have always worked on the following principles. Lots of sleep but get up early. Log your daily training distance time type how you are feeling that day. Have fun.

Any way have fun keep it fresh. Yes there are many trials and tribulations but always remember everyone who crosses the finish line is a winner.

Hi Steve

I find that I'm able to fit much in on my commute to and from work. I'm about 3 miles by the most direct route available for me. But at the year progresses I will make the distance I go progressively longer. So more rode miles on the bike and off road running through the local woods.

Also so with different routes one gets a nice variety of workouts in. Also perhaps if your able to is get up earlier and do stretching before breakfast.

Then to the local swimming pool a couple of times a week on the way home rounds out a nice training program.

Hi all

Now we are in to the dark months. Cold damp etc. How do you keep focused on keeping in shape. Getting some training in.

Do you change your fitness routine to take in winter sports. Do you spend these months hidden in the Gym or down the swimming pool.

Just trying to get some idea of what other good fellow triathlon folk do this time of year to get through the winter and come out next year with some reasonable fitness.

Many thanks and kindest regards
