I think this is a great idea. I can't help with antwerp though. sorry. I'm attempting IM Lanzarote myself next year and am trying to decide wheather to book club La Santa which is more expensive but is where the race HQ is or book somewhere in Puerto Del Carmen which would be cheaper and closer to where the race actually starts!!! If anyone has done IM lanzarote and can be of any help i'd be very grateful??? Hope you get info on antwerp...i(f anyone needs info on anywhere in Irl I can prob help. worked in hotel mgt in ireland for yrs.)
I went to lanza IM this year and stayed at Del carmen.
La Santa is about a 25 euro taxi ride away but its along way to have to bus on race morning. Del carmen is just a case of walking down the road.
The cost of food and drink in P.D.C was not bad at all and roughly the same as the UK. Ive known friends who have stayed at la Santa and they said that its very expensive.
Club La Santa came across as being one of those places you would either love or hate. Personally it was not my thing.

Im no expert and have no experience of shorter distance races, but At Iron distance I would say maybe the bike stage holds the cards.
Must agree that the swim can zap energy (both of the mind and body) in probably the shortest amount of time pro-rata.

I entered it this year but pulled out after 165km on the bike stage with an Injury. I have a confirmed entry for 2008 so should nail it this time. It was my first triathlon.
3 months later I managed to complete IMUK, but in a slow time of 14.30[:@]
The swim is in the sea ay lanza and it does have a current, but its great!
The hardest part by far is the bike which offers alot of up hill gradients and 2 major climbs. Its hot and its allways windy, not matter which direction you go it seems to be against you.
The run is mainly flat and is a great 4 loop track which has plenty of spectators to offer a boost of support.
If your fit and strong on the bike then you will be fine.
If you do it then carry your own gels ETC on the bike as the aid stations aint the best! Zero gels and weak drinks!
Other than that its a fantastic event and with a smaller starting field than most IMK events.

I know this is probably a dumb question but what does it actually mean?
Does filling out the form mean that you get the chance of an entry place before they are put on offer on the website?
Thanks in advance for any replies.[:)]

Just wondering if any of these events actually take place within the UK?
If so, does anyone have any links please?
Infact does anyone have any links to any events worldwide?
Thanks for your time in advance if you can assist.
