It still clicks in the same way that it did when it was working properly, so I think the indexing it still OK. see conversation

My chain came off yesterday and now for some reason my front mech won't move the chain up on to the large chainring - it moves the chain up but then springs back down straight away. Anyone got any ideas what's happened and how I can fix it? I don't really want to take it to the LBS unless necessary, and I should really be able to fix stuff like this. see conversation

See you there blurredgirl, think there are a few folks off here doing it.

It's not the warmest event - invest in some arm warmers is my advice. see conversation

Anyone done it? Got it this Sunday but it's too far away from Team Squishy HQ for me to have been able to recce the course.

All I know is, there's lots of running out & back over the Humber Bridge - who needs Hawaii, eh?! see conversation

Don't push off the wall really hard just to keep in front of the quicker swimmer(s) behind you - you don't swim fast just by pushing off fast. see conversation

I went down to watch it, and by the sounds of the accounts given above it was a better option that watching it on the beeb.

Got a great view for all the disciplines - stood at the side of the lake to watch the swim, got a sweet spot right next to T1 to watch Brownlee & Gomez come flying through, and same for T2 & the run. The course must have been pretty boring for them with all the laps, but for me as a spectator it was better than I was expecting. Brownlee was awesome. see conversation
