you'll get full or partially full bottles at the drink stations so unless you want to use your own drinks then have at least one bottle cage free to take one onboard. At the next bottle point drop the empty and pick up a new. I've recycled my own bottles thru this as well given they only cost a couple of quid and you get a new one anyway. I've never seen any rules on having to drop off one before you get one given. Make sure you are ready to grab on the move...you WILL need to slow down.

Well done sir, just as easy as that

You'll be fine. You are just getting the fear. The step up isn't huge and you have already shown yourself to be able to do the distances. Relax.

Can anyone confirm from previous experience if you actually need ID to register. I've been offered a place by a friend who is no longer able to compete.

I bought a Blackburn Neuro 6.0 which was 130quid. Nice unit and did HR,speed,Cadence. I lost the head unit while training hard during what must have been a blackout moment it came free and dropped off the bars, never to be seen again
.....I'm still swithering over a replacement and I'm off on holiday with the bike in 3 days. I'm not convinced though that at 130quid its value for money....

In most cases its really got to be bike leg given its half the event. However you also need to take your own strengths into consideration as its easier to gain a bigger %age improvement in your weaker 2 legs than in your stronger one. Aero bars can be got for £100 but obviously not with bar end changers etc. Wheels and tyres always a good point to start or alternatively get some personal training with the cash. The biggest boost would be if you can improve your own fitness/strength as this goes across all 3 events.

I'm sure Murray gets fed up being asked whether he supports England when he isn't English, last year he was not press savvy. This year his PR is much much better. The 'Britfest' that people turn Wibledon into gives me the boak.

You need to wear cycling gloves with gel pading in the palms. It makes a huge difference.
