Beautifully made and you'll struggle to find something better for helmet mounting...
The first thing that strikes you about the RePlay is its appearance. It’s small, sleek and light, while its cylindrical aluminium shell looks nothing like any of the other cameras on test.
It can do up to 1080p HD recording or 5MP photos, although it’s slightly fiddly because it has no screen. Thankfully, a brief flick through the manual and you’ll soon understand the colour-coded light display on the rear of the camera, and be able to change settings on the go.
One bonus is that the camera itself is water resistant, so it doesn’t need a protective case. This helps to keep it compact when mounted and increases the range of mounting options.
And, at 85g, it’s barely noticeable on your helmet. The video playback quality is excellent and photo quality is impressive but, with no screen, you’ll probably never use it. Battery life is 1:50hrs, which isn’t great, and there’s no easy way to charge it on the fly, so plan your recording carefully.
