You’ll either love or hate the turquoise blue drums of the Tacx rollers but, in combination with the grey frame, they do have a certain minimalist futuristic cool look to them. With 370mm width they’re a good set of rollers to learn on; you’re gently encouraged to stay towards the middle but have some margin for error.
The rollers have a reasonably large diameter, which does mean potential beginner’s roller vertigo, but you’d soon get used to it. Their action and ride is incredibly smooth, 100% solid and, especially when ridden on a rubber mat, very quiet.
Rather than folding the frame slides into itself. Considering the diameter of the rollers, the stowed package is reasonably compact but certainly not the smallest. Their 7.7kg weight isn’t bad, though, and ups their portability.
