The Milton Keynes triathlon held by Big Cow Events is brilliant, always well organised, good number of very friendly people and a brilliant mix of abilities. I love it so much i now try do as many big cow events every year as i possibly can. and the organisers are very quick and helpful if you email them any queries. and, the cost has gone down in the last few years!

I'm a fan of sea based Tri's with mass beach starts. My vote would go to the Swanage Classic for the cracking swim, undulating cycle and dam right nasty run! For the Sprint distance my vote would go to Sevenoaks Sprint Tri - good course, friendly atmosphere and a real club event.

I reckon, despite the shocking weather this year, that the relays is about the best UK event. The party atmosphere across the weekend is great, and the self contained venue makes it like racing in a stadium!

I also did the Yorkshireman OD last year which was pretty good, for a first OD race. Iconic venue - a point to point swim in the Humber, good speedy TT course, and then a run on the bridge.

I did Emberton - nice run course, not overwhelmed by the rest of it; the road surfaces weren't very good.
