will start doing some LSD within a wrrk or 2 or 3, during winter/base period.
I'll take along the mp3 on the longer runs. Though at a volume that allows one tohear somecoming traffic.

No, never.

I have tried it once or twice at the gym but I always seem to catch my thumbs on the wire!

always run to music a bit of meat loaf (have a very oddd taste in music!!) but the power balads help the miles go by or in the gym if the music isnt on the tv then the mp3 is awsome!!!
Swim, bike, run have a kip and do it again, repeat until you beat your pb!

No.....

Like to be able to hear what is going on around me.....

In the last week I'v had to deal with the following....

1.... One dead looking granny driving with mouth wide open slumped against the door
2.... One youth in car coming over the brow of a hill on a well below zero morning and finding that his car dont go in straight line on ice
3.... Two drunks riding a disabled scooter
4.... 2 different gangs of youths swilling larger (never can be sure what they will do)
5.... A number of car drivers who just think that the path is an extension of the road to drive along and the always cut up on to the pavement just in front of you then open the car door just as you get level with them

I can go on but i won't.....

[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]

Tri as I must......

No, no, no!!!

I've seen people wearing headphones in races, why?! It beggars belief, if you're going to listen to music whilst running, do it in the gym. I can understand listening to music on long training runs, but I've seen it in 5k races! Without wanting to sound sexist, women are the main culprits.

I don't listen to music because I like the purity of running, I like to concentrate on the pain...[:D]

The Ipod is my run companion and the music has to be up beat.

Sweat and headsets don't mix too well. After 6 miles of running, I want nothing to do with headsets and mp3 players.

"love is bliiiiiiiind bliiiiiiiiind like a bat!" eh squareclare:P

I always have my mp3, training alone for long periods of time is a killer. Swimming obviously you just got to hope there some eye candy around (no disrespect ladies, but to be fair, i have caught you all few checking out me/poolguards/sprint swim muscle guy more than a few times!)
....surviving only on warm urine and hot doggers.......
