OW Swimming

It's been lovely and warm in Plymouth, I was really tempted to try the sea.....

Has anyone braved the water yet.....it can't be that bad once the brain freeze had passed surely!

after a while you don't feel the cold, a 2-3km varm up run recommended!

Surfed all winter down here in Cornwall, beginning to feel a little warmer when the suns out. Reckon its about 10 degrees. I'm still in a 5mm and boots.....and a hood if the surfs a decent size!! I'm gonna leave it a bit until I start doing a few swims!!!

There's a good swim there in July if anyone is interested, came across it the other day:

There are 3 waves, think they are about half full already. Should be a bit warmer by then.

Two female swimmers spotted in river Wharfe near Appletreewick earlier this month - reportedly still alive & moving. Swimming cossies not wetsuits!

Still snow around in very big patches on higher ground earlier this week
