What Jellybaby said. Someone's always got to be the first, and Ben, your time has come.

2010: White Horse Challenge, Dragon Ride, RoW Sprint, IM UK 70.3, Eastnor Castle Middle Distance, IM UK: All boxes ticked
2011: Now to go faster. Then IronMan Wales came along, so the speedwork can wait until 2012

Funnily enough I was looking at the exact same bike today on the Evans website whilst bored at work....it looks awesome. Never ridden a Fuji though.....

looks like pretty good value for money to me, shame theres such a leap to the next model up, £2k to £5 is a big whole in the product line!!

It looks amazing! Very good spec with the FSA/Rival drive train as well.

Does not pass the eyeball wind tunnel test though. Brake behind the fork, gigantic seat stays, sloping top tube, big fat head tube. For a lot less, the Aloha is probably equally fast. Just looks so boring next to this.

just took a second look and on the fuji website rrp for that model (comp) is $3150,

the frameset for the pro model is $3229

the frame is identical apart from the paint job so unless the pro frameset includes free chips for life or a solid gold headset that must make the comp bike the sale of the century.

Im thinking of doing the same Ben, I read a review somewhere that said the back end is really stiff due to all of the carbon, its just the front that could do with some stiffening so unless you are on an uber tight-cornering course, sounds good. But it was rated as fast and a pretty good climber too.

Spoke with the chap in Evans ( note to everyone I'm not a fan of Evans but they seem the only place to sell these)

Anyway, they come to stores on the 1st March.... they need a £50 deposit to get the bike to their store - we discussed this ( refunded if I buy it ), I consider that to be a piss take, that's waived now, and waiting for a test ride.

The back end is meant to be uber stiff and I had heard about the front end.... not that I'd notice. Bottom line is this

1) It's good value

2) It looks fast

3) It's black and red carbon - nuff said.

4) I NEED one.

Let me know how you get on Bman and I'll do the same. I think I'll get my test ride from Evans in Wandsworth and then assault Richmond Park on it.

Ha i had also popped into Wandsworth to discuss it. I feel the same way about Evans, and their response to my enquiry seemed to be the first they had ever heard of it. But they did offer to get a 54 and 56 in for me to try, but I really would like to be fitted properly rather than the "you are 6ft so Id say 56" I got.

So how best to do this, assuming you are going to get one and get it fitted properly? I would much rather deal with a LBS outfit than Evans. Would it be cheeky cycling up to East Sheen on it and visiting the chaps at Prologue? haha.

Forgot to mention I was hoping they would be at the TCR show today to see if it was there but alas, no Evans. But all the nutrition freebies were good and they amount of bling carbon was nice to see.

The bloke assumed cos I'm 6ft 3 I'd need a 58cm frame.

I know that wrong as I have very lanky legs and a short trunk. I actually ride a medium/large frame so I'll be buying a 56 and having a bit more seat post showing ,

Then I'll take it to a LBS I use and get fitted. If it's the wrong size I'll be following their 30 day no quibble exchange or refund policy.

Simples .

Be sure to let us know when you do your test ride.....I work in Wandsworth so wouldn't mind popping in to have a look at it. I'm not a fan of Evans eitherand got a Cube from the chaps at Prologue.....much better service there. I cannot believe Evans wanted 50 quid just to get one in the shop.....clowns
