I generally run with my girlfriend, so no, but I wish I did ;)

Im looking to get a cheapo mp3 when Im out on my own though, one of those shiny nike+ things would be good as well to use the " power song " function!

Yep Music is a great motivator. Can't run at the moment but when using my home gym both my husband and I always train to music. We have a big selection sorted out. The only time I don't use it is in the pool. When on the turbo trainer (which is in the lounge) I often watch a music DVD for variety. I also used to ski to music- before my knees put paid to skiing. It was great wooshing down the slopes listening to rock or going for a cruise chilling to Pink Floyd.[8D]

Why of course I do! Start off with a nice slow calm track, massive attack or the Chemical Brothers. Something that builds over a few minutes, so you get your wits about you and the flow going. Then break in the ska or 80's cheese. I'm not a great fan of whole albums as they tend to have huge weak spots that keep you reaching for the "skip track" button. For a real challenge I like to listen to old school hip hop and sing along. Guaranteed to up the work load, with the added benefit of singing "can’t touch this" in the woods to bewildered walkers and ladies on horses.
IÕd rather be happy than right.

Definitely, especially on a long run, just to keep my mind off the pain. Have some good fast mixes made up for the short runs as well......

Depends where I am running. If I am running along the Wye valley then no, as the sounds of nature are entertaining in their own right. If I am on the treadmill or in town then yes, to stave off terminal boredom!
