Here’s your chance to take part in one of the exciting new Prospect races for the 2019 Xtri World Tour. The Xtri World Tour is headed up by the famous Norseman Xtreme Triathlon and is a journey of incredible extreme triathlons in unique and spectacular places, where the richness of culture is tangible.
All the tour races have beautiful and difficult courses with distances based on topographic features, water conditions, terrain and local infrastructure. Each course is unique, and each requires different skills, but all are extreme. The field sizes are limited, and a support team is required.
Xtri was born in the Norwegian fjords in 2003 when a visionary named Hårek Stranheim created a point-to-point race that stripped out the baggage and immersed the athletes into the landscape. No frills, just pure triathlon. The Norseman Xtreme Triathlon has continued since and the Xtri World Championship is now held there each year.
With the popularity of this new concept, more friends began to join, first Celtman in Scotland, then Swissman in Switzerland, taking the vision to new audiences in diverse and spectacular surroundings. The Xtri World Tour has since matured into a series of tough yet wonderful experiences, which combine triathlon with adventure travel; athletes with supporters; landscape with culture; and personal challenges with great reward. The tour has selected and produced the finest extreme events with nine official races now found in Norway, Scotland, Switzerland, Canada, Slovakia, Sweden, Italy, Spain and Chile.
We’re offering six readers the chance to win 1 x male and 1 x female slot for one of three 2019 Prospect races in The Isle of Man (Manx Xtri, 29 Sept), Montenegro (Blacklake Xtreme Triathlon, 5 Oct) and Brazil (Fodaxman Xtreme Triathlon, 14 December), with the winners able to pick their slot in one of the three races. We’ll also supply one Orca Pro Xtri cycle jersey (worth £100) for each of the six winners.
